Job Creation in Baltimore City/County

Exclusive Interview: Futech CEO Sherman Davis Plans to Bring More Hi-Tech Jobs to a Global Economy

Sherman Davis

Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sherman Davis focuses to bring more hi-tech jobs not only to Baltimore City and Baltimore County where it is based, but to the State of Maryland and Nationwide to a new global economy.

With an unemployment rate of more than 20 percent in the United States due to COVID-19. Futech Engineering Solutions, LLC is a certified minority-owned small disadvantaged business—plans to bring back and create new tech jobs in the Information Technology, Engineering Technology, and Business Consulting sectors.

Founded in 2012, the company’s strength was its technical innovation ideas, community outreach, and its ability to work greatly in a team concept, as well as outside.

“We are finding that a lot of sources and folks are really sharing their passion about what we are doing when it comes to community initiatives,” Davis told a reporter many years ago in an exclusive interview. “If you look at our past performance our biggest accomplishment was working with other employers and organizations to make a major difference in someone’s life. Futech continues to work with Fortune 500 companies and government contracting agencies to bring solutions on a larger scale. “In 1998 I was an integral member of a team that was tasked to come up with a plan to help NASA reduce the time it takes to produce technical documentation. As a result, we won in a local competition that led us to participate in a national conference in which we came in second place in Denver Colorado.

The customer was also a member of the team and we helped the government save hundreds of thousands of dollars in cost by streamlining the process to produce documentation,” My biggest joy was providing summer jobs to Youth and partnering with organizations such as the Baltimore City Branch of the NAACP and the Baltimore County Parks and Recreation department. Futech Engineering continues to grow and expand in new areas; Cyber Security, Health IT, Manufacturing and COVID-19. I project “incredible things to come in future.”

We have a great business development team and prior to that, Futech won at least its share of commercial and government contracts.

“We are interested in reaching out to minority candidates as well as other cultures, giving everyone a fair chance for opportunities in the hi-tech industry. We are always looking for investors that can share our growth and vision.

Futech has satellite offices in DC, Virginia and Texas. These locations are run by our strategic partners as part of our niche to capture and support new markets. “No one company can do it all, sometimes it takes a team.
